InfoComm International publishes best practices in a new resource book
DENVER, Colo., February 15, 2007 - USAV Group, a leading ProAV integrator, announced today that the organization has adopted InfoComm International's AV Installation Handbook as its standard practice. All USAV companies will now be required to train their installation staffs using the best practices identified in InfoComm's AV Installation Handbook.
"As the nation's largest professional AV integrator, USAV Group felt it was imperative that we step up to and implement this important industry advance," said Chris Whitley, Chief Executive Officer, USAV Group. "Customers who choose to work with USAV as a partner can rest assured their AV systems are designed and installed by professionals trained to the industry's highest standards ensuring high reliability and trouble-free operations."
"InfoComm is pleased that USAV Group and its 23 affiliates have committed to InfoComm's AV Installation Handbook as its standard," said Randal A. Lemke, Ph.D., Executive Director, InfoComm International. "Consumers around the country will benefit from USAV's promotion of quality AV installations."
The AV Installation Handbook is a key component of InfoComm's Audiovisual Installation Resource Center, a robust compilation of installation training and reference materials. The Resource Center has become the de facto reference for those looking to hone their audiovisual installation skills. The material is available in modular components, making it easy for individuals and companies to select the content they want, when they need it. Traditional classes are still available at InfoComm Academy in Fairfax, Va., and other locations globally.
